Former West Indies captain appointed ICC cricket committee chairman

DUBAI, India (AFP): Former West Indies captain Clive Lloyd has succeeded Sunil Gavaskar as chairman of the cricket committee of the International Cricket Council (ICC), the governing body announced on Thursday following a board meeting at its Dubai headquarters. Lloyd replaces Indian batting great Gavaskar.
