Blackmoore attneds summit in Columbia

Minister for National Security, Immigration and Labour, Hon. Rayburn Blackmoore is presently in the city of Cartagena de Indias, Columbia attending a Summit on Elicit Drugs, Security and Cooperation of the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico and Venezuela.

The summit is being attended by Heads of State and Ministers of Foreign Relations of the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, Venezuela and Columbia.

The objective of the July 30- August 1 summit is to continue the implementation of actions emanating from the summit in Santo Domingo and extending this initiative to the entire Central American and Caribbean region.

The Summit anticipates the signing of a Presidential Declaration which would be accompanied by a plan of action to guide regional cooperation in the fight against illicit drugs and security. Hon.

 Blackmoore is accompanied to the summit by Superintendent of Police, Mr. Nicholas George.
