PAKISTAN'S President Pervez Musharraf was under intense new pressure to quit
last night after rogue scientist AQ Khan accused him of direct involvement in
nuclear proliferation by secretly transferring uranium enrichment centrifuges to
North Korea. Dr Khan's charge contradicted Mr Musharraf's insistence that he and
the Pakistan army he commanded knew nothing of the disgraced scientist's nuclear
proliferation activities. But Dr Khan's claim burst like a bombshell in
